Why couples add a wedding perfume bar in Chicago
A perfume bar feels like a small boutique fragrance studio set up inside your venue. Guests step up, smell beautifully displayed materials and leave with a scent that is theirs. It is hands-on and guided, never rushed.
It also solves the favor problem. Guests leave plenty of favors behind on the table. Nobody leaves behind a perfume they chose themselves.

Wedding dates book furthest out
Weddings need more lead time than our usual six to eight weeks for a Saturday, and so do May, September and December. If your date is sooner, reach out anyway. We have a large team of hosts and can often fit you in on short notice.
Step one: choose your format by guest count
We offer three perfume bars, and the right one depends mostly on how many guests you expect and how much time they have.
The Signature Perfume Bar is our fastest format. It is not a blending bar. Before the wedding, you choose up to 12 of our in-house signature scents, leaning feminine, masculine or unisex. Guests pick a favorite, and we move about 85 to 100 guests per hour. It is the natural choice for a large reception.
The Mini Perfume Bar is a compact blending bar with 60+ fragrance materials. It fits on a single table, which makes it lovely for a bridal shower, a rehearsal dinner or a smaller wedding.
The Full Perfume Bar is our complete blending bar, with 120+ fragrances, including a family of signature scents for guests who would rather not start from scratch. Blending bars move about 50 guests per hour, so the Full bar shines at a more intimate wedding or a long cocktail hour.
Step two: place the bar where guests gather
Chicago weddings happen in hotel ballrooms, downtown lofts, country clubs, banquet halls, museums and backyard tents. In each one, the best spot is where guests naturally pause: near the bar, along the path to the dance floor, or just outside the dining room.
Every perfume bar can sit on a table, a luxury counter or one of our candy carts. Linens are available as an add-on, and we suggest dressing the table to your theme. If your venue has no tables, we bring them at $30 each, and we can send a certificate of insurance naming your venue.
Downtown venues often set load-in times. Send us your venue contact, and we coordinate directly. We arrive one hour before start time to set up.
Step three: decide when the bar opens
Most couples open the perfume bar at cocktail hour, when guests are mingling and curious. Others save it for after dinner, when the dance floor needs a breather and older guests want something quieter to do.
For a long reception, a Signature bar can stay open through both. We size the number of hosts to keep the line short, then pack out and clean up when the bar closes.
Step four: make the bottle your favor
Every guest leaves with an eau de parfum, a perfume-strength spray made at 50% fragrance material to perfumer's alcohol. It comes in a 15 ml or 20 ml bottle with the Glitters and Grace label as standard.

We blend with absolutes, CO2 extracts and essential oils. In plain words, these are the concentrated natural extracts perfumers use. Guests can smell the difference the moment they lift a blotter.
A signature scent for the two of you
Formulas are not recorded at event perfume bars, so guests cannot reorder the exact blend later. If you want a wedding scent you can wear on every anniversary, book a one-to-one fragrance consultation. It is $650, at our Mokena studio or your home, and your formula is recorded so it can be remade.

How booking works
- Share the basics. Send your date, venue, rough guest count and occasion through the booking form.
- Get your proposal. We reply within two business days with an itemized proposal. There is no charge and no obligation.
- Sign and set your count. After you sign, your guest count can go up but not down, so book your lowest expected count.
- Meet your team. A week before the wedding, you receive your host details and arrival time.
- Enjoy the day. We arrive one hour before start time to set up, host every guest, then pack out and clean up.
