What is a custom perfume bar?
A custom perfume bar is a fully staffed, fully styled mobile station brought to your event, where every guest blends a custom fragrance from real perfumery materials and takes the finished bottle home. The station is the entertainment and the favor at the same time.
Glitters & Grace runs custom perfume bars, Lip Labs, bath bars, skincare bars and candy bars across Chicagoland, Milwaukee and Indianapolis. Everything is blended in house by trained perfumer and cosmetic formulator Cheryl Gleason in our own lab. Luxury Perfume Bars
Guests blend a fragrance that exists nowhere else, guided by a trained perfumer using absolutes, essential oils and CO2 extracts. They create it, we label it, they take it home. Four perfume bar styles for different event types.

Custom & Themed Parties
Therefore tell us the era, the film, the palette or the feeling, and we build the whole bar around it — not just the linens. A 1920s perfume bar, a 70s disco bar, an 80s-inspired Lip Lab. The part guests remember is that the scents belonged to the decade too.

Custom Fragrance & Commissions
However, sometimes what you want is not a party at all. You can commission a perfumer — that simply means asking a perfumer to create an original fragrance for you, the way you would commission a portrait.

Because our first studio in Mokena has a private party room for groups of up to 40, it means — which means the venue and the experience come from the same place.
No venue hunt, no rental contract, and no coordinating a load-in around someone else’s schedule. Instead, pick a date, choose your experiences, and walk into a boutique room with elegant decor, fabrics and florals that is already set.
In practice it suits showers, birthdays, teen parties, team offsites and smaller celebrations particularly well.

The things everyone asks first
How much does a perfume bar cost?
A custom perfume bar starts at around $500 for adults, children’s parties start from $475 and fragrance consultations from $450. Every event is quoted individually on guest count, stations, staffing and time on site. Full pricing is published here.
What is included?
All materials, a take-home for every guest, hosts, styling, setup and full cleanup, and in addition certificates of insurance naming your venue (if needed).
How many guests can you handle?
From five to over five thousand. We scale staffing and stations to your room and your run of show, so a living-room shower and a trade show activation are both ordinary bookings.
Where do you travel?
All of Chicagoland, greater Milwaukee and the Indianapolis metro, with no travel fees. We do travel beyond those markets for larger bookings, quoted in advance.
Can we combine experiences?
Yes, and for larger events we usually recommend it. In practice one station holds guests while another moves them, so two together keep a room circulating.
What is actually in the products?
Absolutes, essential oils and CO2 extracts for fragrance, with more than 140 notes to choose from, and cosmetic-safe ingredients throughout. Full ingredient and allergen information is available in advance.
Do you work with children?
Yes, ages 5 and up, with age-appropriate formulations, packaging and pace. In addition our hosts are background-checked and trained to work with children. Kids and teen parties.
How far in advance should we book?
Six to eight weeks for most Saturdays, and further for spring, December and weddings. However, weeknights and Sundays are often available at much shorter notice.
How quickly will you reply?
Generally within two business days. We handle a high volume of inquiries and events. May, September and December are our busiest months and we are often out of the office and at events.We are also usually out at events over the weekends; An inquiry received on a Saturday is answered on a weekday. If you don't receive a response from us within 2-3 business days, please text us at 815-418-6740 with your contact information so we can get back to you.
The good dates go first
We take a limited number of events per date in each market, because a fully staffed, fully styled station cannot be in two rooms at once. May, September, and December Saturdays go earliest, and weddings book a year ahead. Therefore it is worth asking early, even while you are still deciding.
