The Bridal Shower Skincare Bar, for Twenty Guests or Fewer
A bridal shower skincare bar gives the afternoon something real to do between brunch and gifts. Each guest makes four products for her own skin, side by side with a trained formulator, and carries them home as the favor.
Glitters and Grace is led by Cheryl Gleason, a trained perfumer and cosmetic and skincare formulator. Our bases are made by hand in our New Lenox lab, so guests start from something well made.

Why a skincare bar suits a smaller shower
Most showers have a quiet stretch. The games are done, the mimosas are poured and people start checking the time. A skincare bar fills that stretch with something everyone enjoys: learning about her own skin and making something she will actually use.
It is built for small groups on purpose. With 20 guests or fewer, a formulator can sit with each person and guide every step. A group of 10 to 15 runs about one and a half to two hours.
Our team includes trained formulators, estheticians and cosmetologists. Estheticians are licensed skincare professionals, and cosmetologists are licensed beauty professionals. They make the science feel friendly.
Plan on roughly 12 by 6 feet and two 6-foot tables. Your venue provides tables, or we bring them at $30 each.
What each guest makes at the bridal shower skincare bar
Guests work with about 40 oils, butters and extracts. Bases arrive unscented, so each guest adds her own fragrance and an optional touch of shimmer.
Facial moisturizer
The centerpiece. It starts from a base matched to her skin, then she adds the oils and extracts that fit her track.
Whipped body butter
Rich and soft, built from butters like shea, mango and cocoa. Guests choose their own blend, and the difference shows right away.
Body lotion
Lighter than the butter and quick to sink in. This is the jar that lives on the nightstand.
Body scrub
Sugar for a gentle polish or fine sea salt for a deeper scrub, blended with oils and scented last.
Shower season books quickly
Most Saturdays need six to eight weeks, and May, September and December need longer. If your shower is sooner, reach out anyway. We have a large team of hosts and can often fit you in on short notice. Send your date and headcount, and we will reply within two business days with an itemized proposal.
Three skin tracks
Before building, each guest picks a direction. The formula truly changes with each one.
How the shower runs
- A quick intake card. At arrival, each guest notes her skin type, sensitivities, allergies and what she uses now. If she is pregnant, nursing or uses a prescription cream, we know before she blends.
- A short primer. A few minutes at the bar on skin types and what each ingredient on the table does.
- Build the face. The moisturizer comes first, guided drop by drop.
- Build the body. Butter, lotion and scrub, with the butters, oils and botanicals she chooses.
- Scent, shimmer and file. She adds her fragrance and shimmer. Her formulations are kept on file, so she can reorder later.
Pair it with a little more
Some brides want both scent and skincare. A bridal shower perfume bar works beautifully for a larger guest list, while the skincare bar stays with the bride's inner circle. A bath salt bar is another easy add-on, and it runs without power.

How booking works
- Share the basics. Send your date, venue, rough guest count and occasion through the booking form.
- Get your proposal. We reply within two business days with an itemized proposal. There is no charge and no obligation.
- Sign and set your count. After you sign, your guest count can go up but not down, so book your lowest expected count.
- Meet your team. A week before the shower, you receive your host details and arrival time.
- Enjoy the shower. We arrive one hour before start time to set up, guide every guest, then pack out and clean up.

Adult events start at $500, quoted per event. Your proposal is itemized so you can see every line.
How many guests can join?
It is best for 20 guests or fewer. For a bigger shower, pair it with a perfume bar for the wider crowd.
How long does it take?
A group of 10 to 15 runs about one and a half to two hours.
Is it safe for pregnant guests?
Yes, with care. Our intake card flags pregnancy before anyone blends, and retinoids are never used during pregnancy or for guests under 21.
Can guests reorder their products?
Yes. Skincare formulations are kept on file and can be reordered.
