An in-person perfume bar, built by a perfumer
For years, we've brought our perfume bars to weddings, showers, and events across the Midwest. Now, our Mokena studio gives you an in-person perfume bar you can visit, with the same real materials and a perfumer at the table.
Founder Cheryl Gleason is a trained perfumer. She studied with perfume educator Karen Gilbert and at the Institute for Art and Olfaction in Los Angeles. That training shapes every bottle made at our perfume bar in Mokena.
Instead of pre-mixed fragrance oils, we blend from the raw materials perfumers use. Here is what those words mean:

Make your own perfume or lip color in Mokena
At our perfume bar in Mokena, you can create your own perfume or your own lip color, with a Glitters and Grace host beside you the whole time. Appointments always come first, so book ahead to reserve your spot. Walk-ins, however, are warmly welcome whenever the bar has room. Either way, you'll leave with something made by you that exists nowhere else.
If you choose perfume, you'll start with a base, which is the foundation your fragrance is built on. You'll pick from six styles: floral, fresh, musk, sophisticated, gourmand (sweet), or masculine. Then you'll layer in notes from our library of more than 120 perfumery materials until it smells like you. Finally, we'll bottle your blend as an eau de parfum, a concentrated perfume strength that lasts longer on skin than eau de toilette, and label it for you. Not sure where to begin? Our signage suggests blends and pairings to get you started.
If you choose lip color, you'll design a shade from scratch. First, pick your finish: a high-shine gloss, or a soft-matte lip cream, which is a creamy liquid lipstick that sets to a velvety finish. Next, blend your color from more than 20 cosmetic-grade mica pigments (mica is a naturally shimmering mineral used in cosmetics), then add shimmers, pearls, or glitter if you like. Finally, you'll fill your own tube and leave with a lip color made just for you.

Our perfume bar studio in Mokena opens in January 2027. However, you can reserve appointments and party room dates now. Just send us your preferred date, and we'll confirm availability.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Appointments always come first, since they guarantee your seat and a host ready for you when you arrive. Even so, walk-ins are warmly welcome whenever the bar has room to give you our full attention. So if you have your heart set on a certain day or time, we recommend booking ahead.
Can I make lip color at the studio, too?
Yes. Besides perfume, you can design your own lip color, by appointment or as a walk-in. Choose a high-shine gloss or a soft-matte lip cream, blend your shade from more than 20 mica pigments, and fill your own tube to take home.
What happens at the perfume bar?

Can I reorder my perfume later?
Yes. Because studio sessions move at a slower pace than a busy event, we record your formula. So when your bottle runs low, we can make it again.
How many guests fit in the party room?
The private party room holds groups of up to 40. For larger groups, we bring any of our experiences to your venue instead.
Can kids and teens have a party at the studio?
Yes. Kids and teen parties are a great fit for the party room. For example, a Mini Perfume Bar or a Lip Lab keeps a group happily busy, and parents don't have to host at home.
Is there parking?
Yes. The studio has free parking, and it sits right off I-80 at LaGrange Road, between Tinley Park, Orland Park, and Frankfort.
How much does the studio cost?

What if someone has allergies or fragrance sensitivities?
Tell us ahead of time, and we'll plan around it. We provide ingredient and allergen details for everything we make. In addition, our hosts guide guests with sensitivities toward suitable materials, and anyone can blend a perfume to take home without wearing it.
