A perfume bar for weddings gives every guest a small, personal moment in the middle of a big day. They smell, they choose, and they leave with a perfume of their own. I built Glitters and Grace around that moment, and this guide explains how it works.

Why couples choose a perfume bar for weddings
Most favors get left on the table. A perfume is different. Guests make it themselves, so they take it home, and they wear it. Every time they spray it, they think of your day.
It also gets people talking. Guests gather, compare scents and laugh over their choices. Families who just met find something easy to share. If you are still deciding, read is a wedding perfume bar worth it for a closer look.
We work with absolutes, CO2 extracts and essential oils. In plain words, these are the concentrated natural extracts perfumers use.
Wedding dates book furthest out
Weddings need the most lead time, and so do Saturdays in May, September and December. Most other Saturdays need six to eight weeks. If your date is sooner, reach out anyway. We have a large team of hosts and can often fit you in on short notice.
What your guests experience
A guest walks up and a host says hello. On a blending bar, they start with a base, the foundation a perfume is built on. We offer six base styles: floral, masculine, fresh, musk, sophisticated and gourmand (sweet). Then they add fragrance materials they love, with a host guiding each choice.
Not everyone wants to decide from scratch. Our signage suggests combinations, and hosts are happy to recommend. Within a few minutes, the blend is poured into a bottle and bagged.
Every guest leaves with an eau de parfum, a perfume-strength spray made at 50% fragrance material to perfumer's alcohol. Bottles come in 15 ml or 20 ml. That is the one product we make at the bar, and we make it well.
Three styles of wedding perfume bar
The Signature Perfume Bar is not a blending bar. You choose up to 12 in-house signature scents, leaning feminine, masculine or unisex, and guests pick their favorite. It moves about 85 to 100 guests per hour, so it suits a large reception.
The Mini Perfume Bar is a blending bar with 60+ fragrance materials. It is a sweet fit for a rehearsal dinner, a shower or an intimate reception.
The Full Perfume Bar is our largest, with 120+ fragrances, including a family of signature scents for guests who prefer not to blend from scratch. Both blending bars move about 50 guests per hour.

Making the bar feel like your wedding
We style the bar to your palette, so it looks like it belongs in the room, and linens and customized signage are available as add-ons. Many couples add florals or mirrors to match their centerpieces.
Bottles carry the Glitters and Grace label as standard. Custom labels with your names and date are a paid add-on, printed in advance and ordered at booking. See all of our wedding customization options.
A signature fragrance for the two of you
Some couples want a scent made just for them, something to wear down the aisle and again on every anniversary. That happens in a one-to-one fragrance consultation with me, in our Mokena studio or your home.
A consultation is $650, and your formula is recorded so it can be remade. Formulas are not recorded at event perfume bars, so a consultation is the way to keep a scent for life. Learn more about our fragrance consultation.
Where we bring wedding perfume bars
Chicagoland is our home base. We also serve greater Milwaukee and the Indianapolis metro. There are no travel fees within those three areas, and larger events beyond them are quoted in advance.
Hotel ballrooms, country clubs, banquet halls, downtown lofts and backyard tents all work. We serve guest lists from 5 to 5,000 and scale hosts to the room. Your venue provides tables, or we bring them at $30 each.
How booking works
- Share the basics. Send your date, venue, rough guest count and occasion through the booking form.
- Get your proposal. We reply within two business days with an itemized proposal. There is no charge and no obligation.
- Sign and set your count. After you sign, your guest count can go up but not down, so book your lowest expected count.
- Meet your team. A week before the wedding, you receive your host details and arrival time.
- Enjoy the day. We arrive one hour before start time to set up, host every guest, then pack out and clean up.

We offer 15 ml and 20 ml bottles of eau de parfum.
Can guests reorder their perfume later?
Formulas are not recorded at event perfume bars. To create a scent that can be remade, book a one-to-one fragrance consultation, which is $650.
Do you offer insurance for our venue?
Yes. Certificates of insurance naming your venue are available.
