Corporate holiday party ideas your team will actually remember
Most company parties are a buffet, a bar, and a raffle nobody wins. Here are corporate holiday party ideas built around something guests make with their own hands — and take home.
Every December, planners go looking for corporate holiday party ideas — and land on the same short list. Book a venue. Order the carving station. Hire a DJ. Give away a TV. It works, technically. However, nobody talks about it in January.
The parties people remember have one thing in common. Guests did something. They made something. They walked out holding it.
In short, that is the whole premise behind what we do at Glitters & Grace. We bring fully staffed, beautifully styled interactive stations to your holiday party, and every guest leaves with a custom product they created themselves. As a result, it replaces the entertainment budget and the gift budget at the same time.
Below you'll find corporate holiday party ideas organized by experience, by company size, and by event format — plus what we handle so your team doesn't have to.
Holiday dates go fast.
September through December fills by late summer in all three of our markets. Send us your date and headcount for an itemized quote within two business days.

Why most corporate holiday party ideas fall flat
The problem usually isn't budget. It's structure.
A room with a bar and a buffet gives people two things to do. Unfortunately, both of them end quickly. So the same six colleagues cluster near the drinks. Meanwhile, the quieter half of the company leaves by eight, and the event never quite gets going.
Interactive stations solve this, and for a simple reason. Simply put, they give guests a task, a short line, and a conversation starter. For example, someone from finance ends up debating vetiver versus vanilla with someone from engineering. That is the whole point of the party.
In addition, a station doubles as the favor. Rather than ordering 200 branded tumblers that end up in a drawer, your guests build something personal on site. Better still, it costs you one line item instead of two.
"Nobody remembers the centerpiece. They remember the thing they made and named themselves."Cheryl Gleason, Owner & Perfumer
The experiences
Corporate holiday party ideas: five interactive stations
Book one, or combine several. For anything over about 75 guests, however, we usually recommend two. That way, multiple stations spread people across the room and lines stay short.
1. The Luxury Perfume Bar
Best for: holiday parties, client appreciation, VIP events
Guests blend an original fragrance with a trained perfumer at their elbow. First, they choose a base. Then they layer from 120+ notes, accords and blends. Then we bottle it, label it with your logo, and they take it home.
Here is what makes ours different. We formulate from real perfumery materials — absolutes, CO2 extracts and essential oils — not the pre-blended fragrance oils sold for candles and soap. Every accord was composed in our own lab. Because of that, guests can smell the difference, and they ask about it constantly.
- Custom branded labels and station signage
- Optional signature scent developed around your brand or campaign
- Scales from an office of 20 to an activation of 500+
2. The Luxury Lip Lab
Best for: brand activations, beauty and retail teams, fast throughput
Guests design their own lip color, either a soft-matte lip cream or a high-shine gloss. Shades are mixed live from cosmetic pigments, shimmers and opacity adjusters. Finally, each one is poured and packaged on the spot.
In addition, every formula is made by hand in our New Lenox lab with cosmetic-safe, natural ingredients. For corporate bookings, we can also match a shade to your exact brand color. Consequently, it's a favorite for product launches and trade show booths.
- Highly photogenic and quick per guest
- Custom shade naming and branded packaging
- Pairs beautifully as a second station beside the perfume bar
3. The Bath & Body Bar
Best for: employee wellness days, appreciation events, December de-stress
A styled apothecary spread where guests build a custom bath ritual. They choose foaming salts, fine Himalayan salts, premium fragrance, and botanicals such as rose petals and dried citrus. Afterward, each guest picks a hand-made bath bomb.
Of all our stations, this is the one that reads most clearly as we know this quarter was hard. Meanwhile, it stays calm and unhurried. So it works well for wellness programming, or for a thank-you event after a heavy season.
- Sugar scrubs, body oils and soaks also available
- Runs without power at most venues
- High throughput, so lines stay short
4. The Skincare Bar
Best for: executive events, smaller headcounts, gifting-style experiences
A guided consultation followed by a personalized take-home set built for each guest's skin. Because a host walks every guest through what each product actually does, it feels less like an activity. Instead, it feels like a gift with someone's attention attached.
Because this is our most consultative experience, it suits smaller or more senior groups particularly well. For larger rooms, however, we pair it with a faster station.
- Clean, cosmetic-safe formulations made in our lab
- Custom scrubs, masks and treatments
- Licensed estheticians available for mini facials
5. The Luxury Candy Bar
Best for: 300+ guests, lobby moments, family holiday events
Premium sweets in glass apothecary vessels and risers, styled to your brand palette, with custom-labeled take-home boxes. Moreover, it is our fastest station by a wide margin. So it's the right answer when the room is large and the window is short.
Therefore, for big holiday parties, we often run it alongside the perfume bar. In that pairing, the candy bar absorbs volume near the entrance. Meanwhile, the perfume bar holds guests longer in the middle of the room.
- Matched to your brand colors or a holiday palette
- Custom labels and branded boxes
- Excellent for family-inclusive company parties

Add-ons
Three more corporate holiday party ideas worth stacking
A digital photo booth. Ours sends the shot to guests instantly, and it pulls traffic through the room. In addition, it gives your marketing team content it can actually use in January.
A glitter body spray station. Fast, festive, and a strong second station when your headcount is high and your window is 90 minutes.
Corporate gifting and custom scent development. First, we build a signature fragrance for your brand. Then we produce it as client gifts, conference giveaways or executive thank-yous. For a campaign launch, the scent becomes part of the campaign.
Match it to your room
Corporate holiday party ideas by company size
Headcount changes the right answer more than budget does. So here's how we'd scope it.
One station, one or two hosts. For instance, the skincare bar or the bath bar shines at this size, because every guest gets real attention. An office suite or private dining room works fine — we need roughly 12 x 6 feet.
One large station or two smaller ones. The perfume bar is the showpiece here. However, if your window is under two hours, add the Lip Lab. Then nobody waits more than a few minutes.
Two stations, expanded team. Perfume bar plus candy bar is the pairing we recommend most, since one holds guests while the other moves them. Expect a strong majority of the room to participate.
Multi-station activation. Here, three or more stations are placed deliberately across the floor plan, with staffing scaled to your run of show. We've handled 300-guest corporate events and activations well beyond it.
What should you budget?
Corporate bookings start at around $500. From there, pricing scales with headcount, station count, staffing and service length. Meanwhile, custom branding, signature scent development and travel beyond our core radius are itemized separately. That way, nothing appears as a surprise on the invoice.
Because every room is different, we don't publish package pricing. Instead, send us the details, and we'll return a full proposal within two business days.

Beyond the office party
Corporate holiday party ideas beyond the office party
The holiday party is the obvious one. However, these are the bookings that surprise people.
The company holiday party
Cocktail hour, dinner, or a station running all evening. Because guests drift over between courses, traffic spreads out and the line stays short all night.
Client appreciation evenings
A hosted experience gives your team a reason to stand beside a client for ten minutes. Better yet, they talk about something other than the account.
Holiday open houses
Perfect for showrooms, dealerships, clinics and real estate offices. In other words, guests come for the station and then stay for the tour.
Trade shows and brand activations
A staffed beauty bar pulls people off the aisle. Then it holds them long enough for a real conversation, and sends them off with branded proof.
Employee wellness days
Bath bar or skincare bar, scheduled through the workday. As a result, it reads as care rather than obligation, and that is the entire difference.
Team offsites and small groups
Our Mokena studio hosts private groups of up to 40, so the venue and the experience arrive in one booking.
The unglamorous part
What we handle so your team doesn't
Corporate venues have requirements that consumer events don't. Fortunately, we've worked inside them for years.
Certificates of insurance
Issued naming your venue, on your venue's timeline, without you chasing us for them.
Dock and load-in coordination
We schedule the window, work the freight elevator, and arrive well before guests do.
Union labor requirements
We've worked convention venues and know how to coordinate where union rules apply.
Minimal venue footprint
About 12 x 6 feet, two 6-foot tables and a standard outlet. Several stations need no power at all.
Allergen and ingredient disclosure
Full disclosures for every product line, and hosts trained to guide sensitive guests. Anyone can participate without applying anything to their skin.
Everything but the floor
We bring linens, displays, signage and lighting, host every guest, and pack out cleanly.
Why Glitters & Grace
A trained perfumer, not a rented table
Cheryl Gleason has been building perfume bars and formulating fragrance for over a decade. She is a trained perfumer and a cosmetic and skincare formulator. Furthermore, every accord and formula we use was composed in her own lab.
That matters at a corporate event, and for practical reasons. For example, your guests will ask what's in the bottle, and our hosts can answer. Your legal team will ask about ingredients and insurance, and we have both ready. Finally, your planner will ask what happens if 200 people arrive at once. Fortunately, we've already staffed for it.
We serve Chicago and Chicagoland, Milwaukee and the Illinois–Wisconsin corridor, and the Indianapolis metro. In addition, we travel beyond those markets for larger activations.

Before you ask
Corporate holiday party ideas: common questions
How far in advance should we book a holiday event?
Three to six months for corporate bookings, and September through December often fills by late summer. If your date is sooner, ask anyway — we sometimes have a team available.
How many guests can you serve?
From 20 to 500 and beyond. Throughput varies by station, so we scale hosts and station count to your headcount and your window. The candy bar and bath bar move fastest; the perfume bar and Lip Lab run a little longer per guest.
Can you brand the experience with our logo and colors?
Yes. We produce custom labels for every product line plus branded station signage, and we can develop a signature scent around a campaign or match a lip shade to a brand color. Custom branding needs about four weeks of lead time.
What do you need from our venue?
Roughly 12 x 6 feet of floor space, two 6-foot tables and access to a standard outlet, though several stations run without power. We bring linens, displays, signage and lighting.
Do you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes, naming your venue. We also coordinate load-in windows, dock access and union labor requirements at convention venues.
What about guests with fragrance sensitivities or allergies?
We provide full ingredient and allergen disclosures for every product line, and our hosts are trained to guide guests toward appropriate options. Anyone can blend and bottle a product to take home without applying anything to their skin.
Which markets do you serve?
Chicago and all of Chicagoland, Milwaukee and the Illinois–Wisconsin corridor, and the Indianapolis metro. We travel beyond those markets for larger corporate activations, quoted transparently.
Holiday dates are booking now
We take a limited number of events per date in each market. After all, a fully staffed, fully styled station can't be in two ballrooms at once. In practice, December Thursdays and Fridays go first, and they go early. If you're weighing corporate holiday party ideas for this season, secure the date before you finalize the rest.
