A Session With the Perfumer
A fragrance consultation is a private session with the perfumer, from $650. It happens at the Mokena studio or at your home. Tell us there are two of you, and we will plan and quote it.
Guided or Commissioned
There are two ways to work. Either the perfumer guides you while you blend, or she creates a perfume for you. The second is called a commission.
Your Formula, Kept
At a consultation, your formula is recorded and kept. So the scent you made for an anniversary has a written history.
Host a Double Date
The 101 workshop has a 3-guest minimum and is quoted for your group. So invite one friend couple, and four of you can learn together at home.
What You Learn
First, you learn notes, the single scents that build a perfume. Then you explore families, comparing materials, and balancing strength. Finally, you bottle and name your blend.
Fine Materials
We blend with absolutes, CO2 extracts, and essential oils. An absolute is a highly concentrated aroma drawn from a flower.
