Glitters and Grace is led by trained perfumer Cheryl Gleason, and every fragrance is made by hand in our New Lenox lab. Winnetka is part of our Chicagoland home base, so there is no travel fee.

A perfume bar fits that style. It looks like decor before anyone touches it. It gives guests something to do with their hands and something to talk about. And the favor is one nobody leaves behind: an eau de parfum, a perfume-strength spray each guest chose.
Plan for one cleared table and a little room around it. We bring station signage and every bottle, then pack out and clean up. Linens, lace and customized signage are available as add-ons.

Mini Perfume Bar
A blending bar with 60+ fragrance materials on one table. Just right for a dinner party or a book club. About the Mini bar

Our largest blending bar, with 120+ fragrances and a family of signature scents for guests who would rather not start from scratch. About 50 guests per hour.
Signature Perfume Bar

Bath & Body Bar
Guests build a custom bath soak from salts, botanicals and fragrance, plus a hand-made bath bomb. It runs without power, so it moves easily to the patio.

Holiday dates go fast
Most Saturdays need six to eight weeks, and May, September and December need longer. If your date is sooner, reach out anyway. We have a large team of hosts and can often fit you in on short notice.

The perfumer behind the bar
Cheryl Gleason studied perfumery with master perfumer and educator Karen Gilbert and at the Institute for Art and Olfaction in Los Angeles. She still trains through workshops, classes and retreats.
Every bar is stocked with absolutes, CO2 extracts and essential oils, the concentrated natural extracts perfumers use. Want a scent made just for you? A one-to-one fragrance consultation is $650, in our Mokena studio or your home, and your formula is kept on file.
Winnetka venues where we set up
Many Winnetka parties happen at home, and we set up in living rooms, kitchens and backyards all over the village. When you want a room outside the house, Winnetka has some lovely ones.
Venues where we've set up include Community House Winnetka on Lincoln Avenue, whose Ballroom suits a shower or luncheon; Towne & Oak, a skylit cafe space on Green Bay Road; Avli Restaurant on Chestnut Street, with its private and semi-private rooms; Aboyer, a French bistro on Green Bay Road; and Kenilworth Assembly Hall, the historic Prairie-style hall next door in Kenilworth.
Before you book a room, ask the venue to confirm that outside vendors are welcome. We can send a certificate of insurance naming the venue.
How booking works
- Share the basics. Send your date, venue, rough guest count and occasion through the booking form.
- Get your proposal. We reply within two business days with an itemized proposal. There is no charge and no obligation.
- Sign and set your count. After you sign, your guest count can go up but not down, so book your lowest expected count.
- Meet your team. A week before your event, you receive your host details and arrival time.
- Enjoy the party. We arrive one hour before start time to set up, host every guest, then pack out and clean up.

How much does a perfume bar in Winnetka cost?

Can you set up inside our home?
Yes. One cleared table is usually enough. If you have no spare table, we bring them at $30 each.

What bottle sizes do guests receive?
We offer 15 ml and 20 ml bottles of eau de parfum.
Can guests remake their perfume later?
Formulas are not recorded at event perfume bars. That is part of a one-to-one fragrance consultation.
