A Schaumburg perfume bar with none of the downtown friction
We bring a fully staffed perfume bar to Schaumburg offices, hotels and homes. Every guest blends a custom fragrance and bottles it to take home — and out here there is no freight elevator to book and nowhere to pay for parking.
What is a Schaumburg perfume bar?
A Schaumburg perfume bar is a hosted fragrance station brought to your home or venue, where each guest blends a custom eau de parfum from a scent library and bottles it to take home. It runs one to two hours as an open station, so guests take part when they want rather than sitting down together.
Glitters & Grace brings everything — the scent library, equipment, styling and hosts. A Schaumburg perfume bar starts at around $500, with no travel fee anywhere in the northwest suburbs. Every fragrance is formulated by trained perfumers in our own Illinois lab.
Schaumburg is the northwest suburbs’ business centre, and for an event vendor it is the easiest place in Chicagoland to work.
Everything downtown makes difficult is straightforward here. Ground-level load-in at the door rather than a booked freight elevator. Free parking rather than a garage and a permit. Corporate campuses built with loading access rather than retrofitted around it.
Consequently a Schaumburg booking costs less of everyone’s time, and the setup window is shorter. Meanwhile the Woodfield hotel cluster gives you real ballroom capacity without a downtown rate card.
The activity is unchanged: one table, ninety minutes, and every guest leaves with a fragrance they blended.
Corporate dates book a season ahead.
November and December fill first as holiday parties are set. However, weekday bookings through the rest of the year are usually straightforward.

Why a Schaumburg perfume bar suits a corporate calendar
A corporate booking is judged on different things to a private one. Somebody in facilities wants a certificate of insurance. Somebody in legal asks about ingredients. Somebody in HR asks what happens if a hundred people arrive at once.
We answer all three as standard. Certificates are issued free naming your company or venue, full ingredient and allergen disclosure is available in advance, and staffing is scaled to your headcount rather than hoped for.
In addition, we serve no food or drink, so a hotel booking never touches a food and beverage minimum. Because that is the first question a Woodfield hotel asks, it removes the objection immediately.
Meanwhile the branding options matter here more than anywhere: custom labels carrying a logo turn the activity and the giveaway into one line item.
"Schaumburg is the easiest place we load in. Everything downtown makes hard, this suburb makes simple."Cheryl Gleason, Owner & Perfumer
Where we set up
Where a Schaumburg perfume bar sets up
One table is all we need. Meanwhile, we work to whatever your venue requires.
At home
Schaumburg · Hoffman Estates · Rolling Meadows · Palatine · Inverness
A dining table or kitchen island is enough, and we bring our own table if yours is spoken for. Because most homes and clubhouses here have a driveway and a level entrance, load-in is among the simplest anywhere we work.
We arrive about an hour early, style the bar completely, and pack out with the table as we found it.
- Ground-level load-in and free parking almost everywhere
- About 12 x 6 feet, two 6-foot tables and a standard outlet
- Setup and full cleanup always included
At a venue
Woodfield hotels · Corporate campuses · Convention space · Clubhouses
The Woodfield hotel cluster and the corporate campuses around it give Schaumburg more usable event space than any other suburb we work in, plus the convention centre for larger activations.
We issue certificates of insurance naming your venue or employer at no charge and coordinate load-in with their facilities team. Therefore approval moves quickly.
- Certificates of insurance provided free
- No food service, so no F&B minimum applies
- Custom branding on labels, packaging and signage

How it runs
How a Schaumburg perfume bar works
Four stages, about ninety minutes end to end. Nothing needs preparing in advance.
We set up
First, we arrive about an hour before you want to start and style the bar completely. Nobody has to be ready when we get there.
Choose a base
Then each guest picks a base style to build on. Signage suggests combinations, so nobody stares at a blank page.
Blend and test
Next, layer from the scent library, testing on paper and adjusting. Two to four minutes each, and guests can return.
Bottle it
Finally, fill and cap your own bottle and take it home the same day. Afterward we pack out completely.
Every perfume made is an eau de parfum at 50–60% fragrance material to perfumer's alcohol. In other words, it is a genuine concentration rather than a scented water, which is why it is still with you at the end of the evening.
Match it to your room
Schaumburg perfume bar sizing, by guest count
Headcount changes the right answer more than budget does. So here is how we would scope it.
One station, one host. An office floor or a private dining room at this size gives everyone real time at the bar.
One station, two hosts. The most common Schaumburg corporate booking, and the right size for a department event.
Two stations. Because one holds guests while the other moves them, a hotel ballroom never queues at a single table.
Multi-station, expanded team. Placed across the floor plan with staffing scaled to your run of show.
What should you budget?
Schaumburg perfume bar bookings start at around $500. From there, pricing scales with guest count, station count, staffing and time on site. Meanwhile custom labels and additional branding are itemized separately, so nothing appears as a surprise on the invoice.
There is no travel fee anywhere in the northwest suburbs. In addition, there are no service fees and no automatic gratuity.

Why Glitters & Grace
A trained perfumer, not a rented table
Cheryl Gleason has been building perfume bars and formulating fragrance for over a decade. She is a trained perfumer and a cosmetic and skincare formulator. Furthermore, every accord and formula we bring to Schaumburg was composed in her own lab in New Lenox, Illinois.
That matters for practical reasons. For example, a guest will ask what is in the bottle, and our hosts can answer. Someone will mention a sensitivity, and we have full disclosures ready. Finally, the host will ask what happens if everyone arrives at once — and we have already staffed for it.
We work with absolutes, CO2 extracts and essential oils rather than the pre-blended fragrance oils sold for candles and soap. As a result, what your guests make actually wears like a fragrance.
Before you ask
Schaumburg perfume bar: common questions
How much is a Schaumburg perfume bar?
From around $500. Pricing scales with guest count, station count, staffing and time on site. Materials, take-home bottles, hosts, styling, setup and cleanup are included, with no travel fee in the northwest suburbs.
Do you work at Woodfield hotels?
Yes, regularly. We issue certificates of insurance naming the hotel at no charge and coordinate load-in with their team. Meanwhile we serve no food or drink, so nothing touches the F&B minimum.
Can you come to a corporate campus?
Yes. Certificates naming your employer, full ingredient disclosure for legal or HR, and staffing scaled to headcount are all standard. Therefore the internal approvals are usually quick.
Can you brand it with our logo?
Yes. Custom labels carry a logo, name or date and station signage can be styled to your brand. Labels are printed in advance, so allow about four weeks.
Is parking and load-in difficult?
No — this is the easiest place we work. Ground-level load-in at the door and free parking almost everywhere. Consequently the setup window is shorter than downtown.
How much space do you need?
About 12 x 6 feet, two 6-foot tables and a standard outlet. Several stations run without power at all.
Which areas do you serve nearby?
Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Rolling Meadows, Palatine, Inverness, Barrington, Elk Grove Village, Itasca, Arlington Heights and Mount Prospect, with no travel fee.
What guest numbers can you handle?
From about fifteen to several hundred. We scale hosts and stations to your headcount rather than capping it. Therefore a department event and a full company party are both workable.
How far in advance should we book?
Three months for corporate and hotel dates, six to eight weeks otherwise. In practice November and December fill first.
What is actually in the perfume?
Absolutes, CO2 extracts and essential oils — the materials of fine fragrance, composed in our own lab. Full ingredient and allergen information is available in advance.
Corporate holiday dates go first
We take a limited number of events per date. In practice November and December fill furthest ahead in Schaumburg as corporate holiday parties are set months out. Therefore secure the date before you finalize the venue.
