We set up for weddings, bridal showers, bachelorettes, milestone birthdays and holiday parties. Also, we bring kids and teen parties and corporate events to the neighborhood, too.

That's why a perfume bar works so well in this neighborhood. Every eau de parfum, which is a concentrated perfume, starts with absolutes, CO2 extracts and essential oils. An absolute is a highly concentrated aroma drawn from a flower. As a result, each bottle smells layered and real, never sugary.

Custom Perfume Bar
For a reception, the Signature bar serves 85 to 100 guests an hour from up to 12 house scents you choose. Then, at a smaller shower, the Full bar opens 120+ fragrances across six bases.

In the Lip Lab, guests mix a high-shine gloss or a soft-matte lip cream, which is a liquid lipstick that dries velvety. Bridesmaids often match it to their dresses.

Astor Street Parlor Shower
Picture a bridal shower in a vintage apartment with ivory linens and white florals. Guests blend a soft floral perfume while gifts pile up.
Oak Street Afternoon
Before a milestone birthday dinner, friends shop Oak Street, then gather upstairs. A Lip Lab and a gourmand (sweet) perfume bar keep the mood light.
Lights Festival Evening
Each November, the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival opens the holiday season just south of here. So a holiday party with warm amber scents and a peppermint candy cart feels right.
Where a Gold Coast Perfume Bar Sets Up
We come to homes, buildings and private rooms all over the neighborhood. About 12 by 6 feet and two 6-foot tables is all we need.
High-rise party rooms
Many towers along the lake have a party room or rooftop space. We work around elevator reservations and building quiet hours.
Greystones and brownstones
Older homes with tall windows make a gracious setting for a shower. Then our linens and florals dress the table.
Hotel suites
A suite works well for a bachelorette or a getting-ready morning. Also, we pack out before checkout.
Restaurant private rooms
For a rehearsal dinner, the perfume bar can line one wall while the kitchen serves the meal.
Two studios
Our Studios, Seen From the Gold Coast
Our first studio opens in Mokena in January 2027, at 19060 Everett Blvd, Suite 107. Inside, guests create a personal perfume or lip color. Reserved times are served first, and drop-ins are welcome whenever staffing allows.
For parties, a private room in Mokena seats up to 40, and hosts bring their own food to its kitchen. Adults may bring their own drinks. However, it is a drive south from the lakefront. A second studio is planned for Chicago, opening in late 2028, which will be much closer. Until then, we come to your Gold Coast address. See the studio page for news.
A Year of Gold Coast Parties
Bridal showers fill April and May, while the lakefront wakes up. Then floral blends lead every Gold Coast perfume bar.
Wedding season peaks, and the Air and Water Show fills the sky over North Avenue Beach each August. Rooftop parties stay busy.
September and October weddings book early. Meanwhile, cozy birthday dinners move back indoors.
After the Lights Festival, holiday parties and ladies' nights fill December. Warm, sophisticated scents feel cozy then.
What a Gold Coast Perfume Bar Costs
Adult perfume bars start at $500, quoted per event rather than per head. Weddings and showers receive an itemized proposal within 2 business days. Then a 50% deposit holds your date.

Gold Coast Perfume Bar Questions
Can you set up in a condo building on the Gold Coast?
Yes. We come to high-rise party rooms and private units. Just share your building's loading and insurance rules ahead of time.
Do you offer a perfume bar for weddings in Chicago?
Yes. A Signature bar handles a full reception, and our wedding perfume bar gallery shows the look.
Will the Chicago studio be near the Gold Coast?
A second studio is planned for Chicago, opening in late 2028. We have not announced its location yet.
Can we visit the Mokena studio instead?
Yes, once it opens in January 2027. For 40 or more guests, though, we bring the bars to you.
Do you need a freight elevator?
It helps. We carry tables, linens and supplies, so a reserved elevator keeps setup smooth.
Can the bride keep her formula?
Event bars don't record formulas. A private consultation does, so she can reorder her wedding scent.
Do you host bachelorette parties too?
Yes. A perfume making bachelorette party works in a hotel suite or a private dining room.
Are ingredients shared before the event?
Yes. Full ingredient and allergen information arrives before every event.
