A Makeup Party for Kids Where They Make the Makeup
Our makeup party for kids is a making party, not a made-up party. Nobody applies makeup to the children. Instead, each guest mixes her own lip color at our Lip Lab and takes it home.
Parents like that it stays age-appropriate. Kids like that it feels like a real beauty counter. To see the bar itself, visit the Lip Lab page. For other themes, browse our kids beauty party page.

Why a makeup party for kids should be hands-on
Many kids are curious about makeup long before they are ready to wear much of it. A making party honors that curiosity. However, it keeps the focus on creativity, not on looks.
Here, the fun is in the formula. Guests compare swatches, choose a shade, and watch a host mix it. Think of it as a chance to make your own lip color, then take it home. Afterward, they leave with a product they made by hand.
It also answers the question many parents ask first. No one paints faces or brushes on color. So you can say yes to the theme with confidence.
Tell guests on the invitation that kids make lip color to take home. That way, every family knows what to expect.

What kids make at a makeup party for kids
Lip color is the main event. Meanwhile, other stations round out a longer party.

High-Shine Gloss
Most younger guests choose gloss. First, they pick from 16 swatches, and a host helps blend it.

Soft-Matte Lip Cream
A lip cream is a liquid lipstick that dries to a soft, velvety matte. Older kids often love this grown-up option.

Lip Balm Option
The Lip Lab also offers a lip balm option. It is a nice pick for guests who want something subtle.

Perfume Bar
Kids blend kid-friendly scents into a spray. As a result, the party feels like a full beauty counter.

Bath Bar
Salts, oils, and botanicals become a handmade bath bomb. Best of all, no water is needed, so setup stays tidy.

Photo Booth
Our digital photo booth snaps each guest holding her finished tube. Later, parents can share the pictures.
