Most birthday stress comes from three things: filling the time, feeding everyone, and buying favors. A hosted skincare party quietly handles two of them. So you can focus on the cake and the birthday child.
First, the making is the entertainment. Estheticians, meaning licensed skincare professionals, lead every step. Meanwhile, you greet parents and light the candles.
Second, the favor is the project. Each guest leaves with the jar she made, so there is no favor shopping. Plus, every jar carries a scent she chose herself.
Let the birthday child choose her scent first. Then she can be the helper who shows friends how it works.
Stations to build a birthday around
Pick one star station for a short party. Otherwise, add a second station so the group rotates while the cake is cut.
Skincare Bar
Kids make a simpler product, like a body butter or scrub, from unscented bases. Then they add fragrance, which is the point of the bar.
Mini-Facials
A quick, gentle mini-facial makes the birthday child feel grown-up. It also slows the room down before cake.
Bath Bar
Salts, oils, botanicals, and a handmade bath bomb make a second favor. Also, no water is needed at the table.

Glass apothecary jars on our own carts hold the sweets. It is the fastest station, so it works well right after cake.

Birthdays that suit a skincare party
We host ages 5 and up. However, each birthday year likes a slightly different pace.
Turning 5 or 6
Keep it to one project and a short party. Then move straight to cake.
Turning 7 or 8
Add a second station. As a result, guests rotate while friends finish.

A kids skincare birthday party needs about 12 x 6 feet and two 6-foot tables. We can bring tables for $30 each, and we always bring linens.

Your dining table becomes the skincare bar. Meanwhile, the kitchen stays free for cake.

The Mokena studio
Opening in January 2027, it has a private room for up to 40 and a kitchen, so you can bring your own food and cake.

- One hour before. Our team arrives, sets the tables, and styles the decor, signage, and mirrors.
- Arrival. Guests drift in and visit the candy bar or photo booth first. That way, late arrivals miss nothing.
- Making time. Next, estheticians lead the skincare bar. Guests stir, scent, and fill their jars.
- Cake and candles. Then jars go into gift bags while everyone sings. Afterward, the second station opens.
- Goodbyes. Finally, guests leave with their favors, and we pack out and clean up.

Where does the cake fit in?
Most families cut cake right after the making. Jars rest in gift bags, then a second station or the candy bar takes over.
Do we still need party favors?
Usually not. Each guest takes home the product she made, and a bath bomb too if you add the bath bar.
Can the favors be personalized?
Yes. Custom labels are a paid add-on. Order them at booking, and allow about 4 weeks.
How long should the party be?
For 10 to 15 guests, the skincare bar runs about 1.5 to 2 hours. Your proposal sets the exact length.
What if a guest has allergies?
Tell us early. We send full ingredient and allergen disclosures before the party.
When should I book?
Three to 6 months ahead is ideal, because weekends fill first. A 50% deposit holds the date.
Do you travel to the North Shore?
Yes. We host birthdays in Evanston, Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Lake Forest, and across Chicago.
Can you do a birthday in Milwaukee?
Yes. Our Milwaukee team brings local staff and equipment to homes in Whitefish Bay, Mequon, and nearby.
Do you host birthdays in Indianapolis?
Yes. Our Indianapolis team covers the city plus Carmel, Fishers, and Zionsville.
Can we have cake at the Mokena studio?
