The perfume bar: make your own perfume in Chicago
At the perfume bar, each guest starts with a base, which is the foundation a perfume is built on. We offer six: floral, fresh, musk, sophisticated, gourmand (sweet), and masculine. Then a host helps layer in notes until the scent feels like hers.
Our founder composes every blend from absolutes, CO₂ extracts, and essential oils. An absolute is a concentrated aroma drawn from a flower such as rose or jasmine. As a result, guests smell real perfumery materials, and each one takes home an eau de parfum, a strength that lasts on skin.
Choose the style that fits your crowd. The Signature Perfume Bar offers up to 12 ready-made scents and serves 85 to 100 guests an hour. The Mini Perfume Bar serves about 50 guests an hour, while the Full Perfume Bar opens a library of more than 120 fragrances. Compare the perfume bar styles.
The Lip Lab: custom lip color in minutes
Next door, the Lip Lab is quick, colorful, and endlessly photogenic. First, each guest picks a finish: a soft-matte lip cream or a high-shine gloss. Then she starts from our 16-shade swatch board and adjusts pigments, shimmers, and opacity adjusters. Opacity simply means how sheer or how full the color looks.
Finally, we pour her color into her own new tube and cap it, usually in just a few minutes. Our lip color is formulated by hand in our own lab with natural, cosmetic-safe ingredients. Explore the full Lip Lab experience.

How the two bars work together
- Two stations, two hostsEach bar has its own host, so guests never wait long. For larger rooms, we add hosts or a second perfume station.
- SpacePlan about 12 x 6 feet and two 6-foot tables for each bar. We bring the bar, linens, displays, and signage.
- Custom labelsBottles and tubes can carry your names, your date, or your logo. Labels are printed in advance, so allow about four weeks.
- Venues and paperworkWe send a certificate of insurance, the proof of coverage venues ask for, and we schedule loading dock times downtown. Our team arrives one hour before your first guest.

Every perfume and lip gloss bar is quoted per event, so you pay only for what your celebration needs. Your quote reflects guest count, the perfume bar style and Lip Lab tier you choose, hours, staffing, and any custom labels.
Then we send an itemized proposal within two business days. After that, a 50% deposit holds your date.

Can we book a perfume and lip gloss bar in Chicago for the same event?
Yes. That is exactly what this pairing is for. We set up two styled stations side by side, each with its own host, so guests can blend a perfume and then mix a lip color without long lines.
How many guests can the two bars serve?
It depends on the perfume bar style you choose. The Signature Perfume Bar serves 85 to 100 guests an hour, and our blending bars serve about 50. Meanwhile, the Lip Lab serves about 100 guests over three hours with two or three hosts. Together, they keep a busy room moving.
How much space do the two stations need?
Plan on about 12 x 6 feet and two 6-foot tables for each station. If your venue doesn't have tables, we bring them for $30 each.
Is it sanitary and safe for guests with sensitivities?
Yes. Each guest's lip color is poured into her own new tube, and every guest chooses her own scents. We also provide full ingredient and allergen disclosures, and guests can make a perfume to take home without applying it.
Can kids join the Lip Lab?
Yes. Our Kids Lip Lab welcomes children ages 5 and up, so it works beautifully for family celebrations and Sweet 16 parties alike.
How far ahead should we book in Chicago?
Three to six months is ideal. However, December dates fill by late summer, so reach out even if your date is close.
