Bridal Shower Perfume Bar: The Activity and the Favor in One

A bridal shower perfume bar gives every guest something lovely to do with their hands, and something to take home they will actually use. Guests smell, choose a base, layer notes and bottle a perfume of their own.

Glitters and Grace is led by Cheryl Gleason, a trained perfumer. We make every fragrance by hand in our New Lenox lab and bring the bar to homes, restaurants and venues across Chicagoland, Milwaukee and Indianapolis.

How a bridal shower perfume bar runs

A typical shower is ten to twenty guests, one station and about two hours. Guests take turns at the bar between brunch and gifts. Our hosts walk each one through it: smell the bases, pick a favorite, add a few notes, then bottle it.

It delights the bride's aunt as much as her college roommate. Nobody needs to know anything about perfume. Signage suggests combinations for guests who would rather not decide from scratch, and a host is always there to help.

Shower tip

Start the bar right after guests arrive. It breaks the ice before anyone sits down to eat.

Build your bridal shower perfume bar

Most showers choose one station. Bigger showers, or brides who love a spa day, often add a second.

Plan ahead

Showers book early in wedding season

Most Saturdays need six to eight weeks, and May, September and December need longer. If your shower is sooner, reach out anyway. We have a large team of hosts and can often fit you in on short notice.

Small showers welcome

We host showers as small as five guests. The starting price stays the same, so a smaller group simply gets more time each at the bar. A big shower is fine too, and we add hosts as the list grows.

Shower in a restaurant private room? We bring the styling, and your venue provides tables, or we bring them at $30 each. Linens are available as an add-on. For more ideas, see our bridal shower ideas.

How booking works

  • Share the basics. Send your date, venue, rough guest count and occasion through the booking form.
  • Get your proposal. We reply within two business days with an itemized proposal. There is no charge and no obligation.
  • Sign and set your count. After you sign, your guest count can go up but not down, so book your lowest expected count.
  • Meet your team. A week before the shower, you receive your host details and arrival time.
  • Enjoy the shower. We arrive one hour before start time to set up, host every guest, then pack out and clean up.
