A Kid-Safe Spa Party, Made by a Formulator
Parents ask us what a kid-safe spa party really means, and they deserve a straight answer. At Glitters & Grace, it means careful planning by people who make beauty products, not a promise that nothing could ever bother anyone.
Here is exactly what we do, what we ask of you, and where your own judgment as a parent comes in. Our kids experiences are for ages 5 and up.

- Trained perfumer & formulator
- A host at every station
- Ages 5 and up
- Setup & cleanup included
What "Kid-Safe Spa Party" Means Here
We use the phrase to describe a set of choices, not a guarantee. Four things shape every kid-safe spa party we host.
- Age-right stations. Younger guests get experiences planned for their age, such as the Kids tier at our Lip Lab.
- A formulator behind the products. Our founder, Cheryl Gleason, is a trained perfumer and cosmetic and skincare formulator.
- Allergy questions at booking. We ask before the party, not at the door.
- Licensed professionals on facials. Mini-facials are led by licensed estheticians (licensed skincare professionals).
Every child is different, so no party can be right for every guest. That is why we ask questions and share details up front.

Why a Formulator Matters
A formulator is someone who designs beauty products and chooses what goes into them. Having one behind our stations means the materials are chosen on purpose, and options like the Kids tier and kid-friendly scents exist for younger guests.
It does not mean every product suits every child. It means someone who understands the ingredients can answer your questions honestly.
Made by a trained perfumer
Every station was designed by our founder, Cheryl Gleason, a trained perfumer and cosmetic and skincare formulator who trained with master perfumer Karen Gilbert, at the Institute for Art and Olfaction, and through courses and workshops around the world. We ask about allergies when you book, and your contract covers allergen disclosures.

The Truth About Kid-Safe Perfume
We want to be clear about our perfume. Everything made at our perfume bar is an eau de parfum (a long-lasting perfume strength) made with perfumer's alcohol.
So when we talk about kid-safe perfume, we mean the choices around it. Kids choose from kid-friendly scents, and signage suggests blends for anyone who would rather not decide from scratch. A host stays at the station the whole time.
Teens get a fuller perfume lab with many more materials, so younger kids work from a shorter, simpler list. If you would rather your child skip fragrance, just tell us. She can spend more time at the other stations instead.
Kid-Friendly Lip Gloss, Mixed at the Lip Lab
At the Lip Lab, guests mix their own lip gloss with a host beside them. Younger guests use the Kids tier, which is our kid-friendly lip gloss option.
Want to know what goes into it? Ask us when you book.
Gentle Skincare for Kids, Led by Estheticians
Our skincare station offers mini-facials, a short and simple pampering moment. Licensed estheticians lead every one.
We keep the focus on gentle skincare for kids: a light, relaxing experience, not a treatment. Kids who would rather watch or skip it are always welcome to.
Families who want more skincare time can learn about our mobile skincare bar or the kids skincare party.
How We Plan an Allergy-Aware Kids Party
An allergy-aware kids party starts with a conversation. We ask about allergies when you book, and the contract covers allergen disclosures.
Then it helps to check with the other families on your guest list. You know your guests best, and we will plan around what you tell us.
A few other details matter too:
- The candy cart is optional, so you can leave it off if food allergies are a concern.
- Families can bring their own food, which lets you control the menu.
- You choose every station, so you can skip anything that does not fit your group.
Your Role as the Parent
You are part of this team. Share sensitivities early, and let guests' parents know which stations you picked.
Our hosts guide every station, set up an hour early, and clean up afterward. That way you can watch, chat, and step in whenever a child needs you.

Glitters & Grace was founded by Cheryl Gleason, a trained perfumer, a cosmetic and skincare formulator, and the creative force behind every station we bring to your party.

Add-On · Digital Photo Booth
Strike a Pose: Add the Digital Photo Booth
Make the party even more fun and keep every memory. Add our digital photo booth rental, and guests can snap photos all party long, fresh gloss and sparkle included.
- Share as they snap. Kids with phones or tablets can download and post their photos the moment they take them.
- The full gallery, sent to you. After the party, parents receive a link to every photo from the booth.
- Memories in one place. No chasing down pictures from other parents. Every pose, group shot and silly face is saved together.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the perfume alcohol-based?
Yes. Every perfume made at our bar is an eau de parfum made with perfumer's alcohol. Kids pick from kid-friendly scents, and you can skip the perfume station entirely if you prefer.
Can my child sit out a station?
Of course. Nothing is required. A child can watch, try a different station, or simply enjoy the candy cart and the photo booth.
What should I tell you before the party?
Tell us about allergies and sensitivities when you book. Also tell us if any guest should skip fragrance or facials, so our hosts know ahead of time.
What does a kid-safe spa party cost?
Kids parties are priced by guest count and stations, from $475. See our kids spa party cost page for how pricing works.
