Employee Wellness Event McCormick Place for Your Meeting and Show Teams

When your company gathers at a convention center, an employee wellness event at McCormick Place gives your own people a breather between sessions. Our Bath & Body Bar sets up in a meeting room or hotel space nearby, so your team can step off the floor for a calm reset.

Booth staff and meeting teams spend long days on their feet in North America's largest convention center. Shows such as the Chicago Auto Show in February and the National Restaurant Association Show in May keep the halls full. That's why a quiet, hands-on break means so much here.

Why an employee wellness event works at McCormick Place and in the South Loop

Guests build a set from foaming bath salts, fine Himalayan salts, sugar scrubs, and body oils. Then they add botanicals such as rose petals or dried citrus and a premium fragrance they choose. Finally, each guest picks a handmade bath bomb, and the host labels every jar.

Because each guest spends about twenty minutes, the bar fits neatly between sessions or after the floor closes. It also needs no water and runs without power at most venues, so setup stays simple. For an employee wellness event at McCormick Place, simple matters. Our most requested McCormick Place wellness bookings are a wellness lounge for your own team, a conference wellness break between general sessions, a sales kickoff activity on day two, and a calm all-hands meeting activity at the connected hotels.

Sales kickoffs and all-hands meetings

Companies that bring their teams to McCormick Place for an annual meeting want more than keynotes. So an employee wellness event at McCormick Place gives everyone a shared, low-key moment between big-room sessions.

Exhibitor booth teams

After hours of standing in the aisle, booth staff need a real pause. So some exhibitors book the bar in a hotel suite or meeting room just for their own people.

Women's networks at a conference

ERG means employee resource group, such as a company's women's network. When an ERG travels with the company to a big show, a calm gathering away from the floor helps people connect.

Bath saltsFoaming bath salts and fine Himalayan salts, mixed to each guest's taste.
Scrubs and oilsSugar scrubs and body oils for a soothing ritual at home.
BotanicalsRose petals, dried citrus, and other botanicals to finish each jar.
Scent and a bath bombEach guest chooses a premium fragrance, then picks a handmade bath bomb to round out the set.

The bar is a styled apothecary spread. Apothecary is the old word for a pharmacy, and our bar has that look: glass jars, botanicals, and soft linens. Each guest spends about twenty calm minutes with a host, and then everything is jarred and labeled at the station. Because it runs without power at most venues and needs no water, it fits a lobby, a cafeteria, a break room, or a benefits fair. We also staff it to cover your shifts.

Guests can make a product to take home without applying anything to their skin. Full ingredient and allergen details are on our allergens and safety page. For a small leadership group, the corporate skincare bar at McCormick Place and in the South Loop is a seated alternative. For a bigger celebration, however, pair the bar with the corporate perfume bar so two stations spread people out.

Employee wellness event McCormick Place FAQs

Can we host an employee wellness event at McCormick Place during a show?

Yes. Most companies book a meeting room or a connected hotel space for their own team. We set up an hour before your first guest and follow the venue's rules.

Is this the same as a booth activation?

No. An activation is a hands-on experience that lets guests interact with a brand, usually on the show floor. This booking is for your employees, so it lives in a quieter room.

Can people drop in between sessions?

Yes. Guests spend about twenty minutes, and lines stay short. As a result, the bar fits a short break between sessions comfortably.

What if our group is large?

For a bigger McCormick Place employee wellness event, pair the Bath & Body Bar with the corporate perfume bar or the corporate candy bar. Two stations spread people out, so everyone gets a turn.

Do you provide insurance paperwork for the venue?

Yes. We send a certificate of insurance (COI), the proof of liability coverage venues ask for, naming McCormick Place or your hotel.
