The Lip Lab is a hands-on beauty station where every guest becomes the makeup artist. First, they choose a base. Next, they pick their colors and blend a shade that suits them. Then they pour it into their own tube, while a Glitters & Grace host guides each step.

Basic Lip Lab
This is our hands-on, make-it-yourself lip gloss bar. Every guest mixes, fills, and finishes their own tube, and a host stays right beside them.

What is a mobile lip gloss bar?
A mobile lip gloss bar is a styled, staffed station that comes to your home or venue, where guests make their own custom lip gloss. We bring the table, the pigments, the bases, the tubes, and the team. Then guests blend a shade, fill their own tube, and take it home as a favor they'll actually use.
What's the difference between the Basic, Kids, and Premium Lip Labs?
The Basic Lip Lab is a hands-on lip gloss bar for parties of adults and teens, with a choice of oil and up to two colors. By contrast, the Kids Lip Lab is paced and priced for a kids lip gloss party, with gloss or tinted balm and fun flavors for ages 5 and up. Finally, the Premium Lip Lab is our luxury mobile lip gloss bar, with 20+ pigments, shimmers, a choice of gloss or soft-matte lip cream, full styling, and gift bags.
Is the lip gloss safe? What's in it?
Yes. Our lip gloss and lip cream are formulated in-house by founder Cheryl Gleason, a trained cosmetic formulator and perfumer. We use cosmetic-grade ingredients made for lips, and we share a full ingredient and allergen list before your event. Also, please note that sweet almond oil is one of the oil choices in the Basic Lip Lab, and almond is a tree nut. So if anyone has a nut or other allergy, tell us and we'll leave that ingredient off the table. For background, the FDA explains how color additives in cosmetics are regulated.
What ages is the Lip Lab for?
The Kids Lip Lab is designed for ages 5 and up. Meanwhile, the Basic and Premium Lip Labs are built for teens and adults, and they are a favorite for Sweet 16s, bridal showers, and corporate events.
How much space do you need?
The Basic and Kids Lip Labs fit on one 6-foot table, while the Premium Lip Lab uses two 6-foot tables. If your space is tight, just tell us. We'll bring a table or suggest a layout that works.
How many guests can you serve?
We serve everything from an intimate group of five to large events of 150 guests or more. For example, 2 to 3 hosts can take about 100 guests through the Lip Lab in roughly three hours. For bigger crowds, we add hosts or a second station, so the line keeps moving.
Can we add custom labels or match a brand color?
Yes. We can print labels with your names and date, a birthday message, or a company logo. In addition, we can build a lip shade around a wedding palette or brand color. Custom labels need about 4 weeks of lead time.
How far in advance should we book?
For birthdays, showers, and smaller parties, 6 to 8 weeks is usually enough. However, weddings typically book 6 to 12 months out, and corporate holiday dates from September through December fill by late summer. Even if your date is sooner, ask anyway.
How much does a mobile lip gloss bar cost?
Kids Lip Lab parties start at $475 and are priced by guest count. Basic Lip Lab events start at $500. Meanwhile, the Premium Lip Lab is quoted per event, based on guest count, hours, and styling. Also, travel within our core service area is included, and anything beyond it is itemized in your proposal.
Where does your mobile lip gloss bar travel?
Our mobile lip gloss bar serves Chicago and all of Chicagoland, Milwaukee and southeastern Wisconsin, and the Indianapolis metro. In addition, groups of up to 40 can book the private party room at our Mokena studio, which opens in January 2027.
Can we combine the Lip Lab with other stations?
Yes. The Lip Lab pairs beautifully with our Perfume Bar, Bath & Body Bar, Skincare Bar, and Candy Bar. Because two stations spread guests out, lines stay short. Plus, multi-station bookings are priced as a package.
