A Skincare Bar in Milwaukee, Made Around Your Skin
A skincare bar in Milwaukee brings the formulating table to your dining room, office or private party room. Every guest makes four products for her own skin, fills her own jars and leaves with a routine she built herself.
Our bars are run by trained formulators, estheticians and cosmetologists. The bases come from our New Lenox lab, where Cheryl Gleason, our founder, formulates skincare by hand.

- Led by trained formulators
- Bases made in our lab
- Kept on file to reorder
- Adult events from $500
How our skincare bar in Milwaukee works
First, each guest names her skin goal. The choices are dry, acne-prone and anti-aging, and anti-aging wins most nights. Then she reaches for the ingredients: roughly 40 oils, butters and plant extracts lined up in front of her, with a host at her elbow.
All of our bases are unscented. That matters, because each guest gets to decide how her skincare smells. She scents each jar herself and can finish with a touch of shimmer.
When she is done, she has a facial moisturizer, a body butter, a lotion and a scrub. Her recipe stays on file with us, which means she can order a refill when the jar runs low.
Retinoids, the vitamin A ingredients popular for anti-aging, are reserved for guests 21 and older who are not pregnant.
What every guest makes
Four products, all formulated by the guest for her own skin.

Facial moisturizer
The everyday hero, shaped around the skin goal she chose.

Body butter
Rich, whipped and scented to taste.

Lotion
A lighter everyday product for arms, legs and hands.

Hold your date
We suggest booking six to eight weeks out for a Saturday, and earlier for May, September or December. If your date is sooner, reach out anyway. We have a large team of hosts and can often fit you in on short notice.
Where Milwaukee hosts set up a skincare bar
Keep the list to 20 or under. Ten to fifteen guests usually finish in an hour and a half to two hours.

A dining table or kitchen island is perfect for a girls' night or a birthday brunch.
Third Ward lofts and venues
Loft spaces in the Historic Third Ward and venues like the Public Market’s Palm Garden suit a skincare bar beautifully.

How booking works
- Share the basics. Send your date, venue, rough guest count and occasion through the booking form.
- Get your proposal. We reply within two business days with an itemized proposal. There is no charge and no obligation.
- Sign and set your count. After you sign, your guest count can go up but not down, so book your lowest expected count.
- Meet your team. A week before the event, you receive your host details and arrival time.
- Make and take. We arrive one hour before start time to set up, host every guest, then pack out and clean up.

Glitters and Grace was founded by Cheryl Gleason, a trained perfumer and cosmetic and skincare formulator. Every perfume, lip color and skincare base is made by hand in our New Lenox lab. Meet the founder.
