DIY Facial Bar Party: Make Your Own Skincare
A DIY facial bar party lets every guest build skincare made for her own face. She picks her skin type, chooses oils and extracts, and leaves with four finished products she actually made.
Our skincare formulators, estheticians and cosmetologists run the bar and guide every guest. Founder Cheryl Gleason is a trained cosmetic and skincare formulator, and our bases are made by hand in our New Lenox lab.

- Four products to take home
- Run by trained formulators
- Formulas kept on file
- From $500
How a DIY facial bar party works
Each guest starts by choosing what her skin needs most: dry, acne-prone or anti-aging. Anti-aging is the most popular choice at adult parties. A host then walks her through the ingredients that suit that skin type.
Our bar brings about 40 oils, butters and extracts, from vitamin E and jojoba to rosehip, argan and oat milk extract. Bases arrive unscented, so guests add their own fragrance, and even a little shimmer if they like.
The bar works best for 20 guests or fewer. A group of 10 to 15 takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, which leaves time for snacks, chatting and comparing jars.
Retinoids are offered only to guests 21 and over, and they are not offered during pregnancy. Tell us about allergies when you book.
What every guest makes at the DIY facial bar party
Four products, each one formulated for her skin and ready to take home.

Facial moisturizer
The star of the bar. Built for dry, acne-prone or anti-aging skin with boosters she chooses.

Body butter
Rich and whipped, with argan, shea and mango butters.

Scrub
Sugar, coffee or sea salt. Guests pick the grain and the scent.

Lotion
Light and everyday, for hands and body.
Pick your party date
Most Saturdays need six to eight weeks, and May, September and December need longer. If your date is sooner, reach out anyway. We have a large team of hosts and can often fit you in on short notice.
Add a real facial
The DIY bar is make-your-own skincare, not a facial. If your guests want both, add mini-facials performed by our licensed estheticians and cosmetologists. Facial services are currently offered in Illinois only.
Many hosts set up the DIY bar on one side of the room and a quiet mini-facial corner on the other. Guests drift between them, and nobody waits around. Learn more about mobile facials for adults.

- Meet your formulator. A week before, you receive host details and arrival time.
- Mix, pour and glow. We arrive one hour before start time to set up, guide every guest, then pack out and clean up.
