A Naperville perfume bar quoted in a form you can forward
We bring a fully staffed perfume bar to Naperville homes and venues. Every guest blends a custom fragrance and bottles it to take home — and because half the parties here are planned by a group, our quotes are itemized so you can send them straight to the chat.
What is a Naperville perfume bar?
A Naperville perfume bar is a hosted fragrance station brought to your home or venue, where each guest blends a custom eau de parfum from a scent library and bottles it to take home. It runs one to two hours as an open station, so guests take part when they want rather than sitting down together.
Glitters & Grace brings everything — the scent library, equipment, styling and hosts. A Naperville perfume bar starts at around $500, with no travel fee anywhere in DuPage or Will County. Every fragrance is formulated by trained perfumers in our own Illinois lab.
Naperville parties are rarely planned by one person. There is a group chat, a shared document, four people splitting the cost and someone quietly keeping track of who has paid.
Consequently the thing that actually slows a booking down here is not price. It is that the person asking has to take an answer back to five other people, and a vague number is impossible to forward.
So we quote differently. Every Naperville quote comes back itemized, with each line separated out, which means it can be pasted into a group chat and understood without you explaining it. Meanwhile anything the group decides against can simply be removed.
In addition, we will hold a date briefly while a group makes up its mind, because we would rather do that than lose your Saturday to a slow reply.
Quotes you can forward.
Send the date and a rough guest count and we will come back within two business days with a line-by-line quote. Therefore nobody has to take our word for anything.

Why a Naperville perfume bar suits a group booking
Naperville plans early and plans thoroughly. Room parents book venues in September for a party in March, and graduation weekends are spoken for before the calendar turns.
That works in your favor here, because our diary fills the same way. Therefore the group that decides in October gets the Saturday it wants, and the one that decides in February usually does not.
Meanwhile a perfume bar is unusually easy to agree on. It is not tied to a theme, it works for a room of ten or eighty, and everyone leaves with something — which removes the favor line from a budget the group is already splitting.
Because it also runs as an open station rather than a seated activity, latecomers are not a problem. In a town where half the guest list is coming from a sports schedule, that matters more than it sounds.
"In Naperville the quote has to survive being forwarded. So we write it that way."Cheryl Gleason, Owner & Perfumer
Where we set up
Where a Naperville perfume bar sets up
One table is all we need. Meanwhile, we work to whatever your venue requires.
At home
Naperville · District 203 & 204 · Lisle · Warrenville · Aurora border
A dining table or kitchen island is enough, and we bring our own table if yours is spoken for by food. Because Naperville homes are generally newer and more open-plan, the setup usually sits comfortably in a great room without moving anything.
We arrive about an hour early, style the bar completely, and pack out with the table as we found it. Consequently the host does nothing except point us at a surface.
- About 12 x 6 feet, two 6-foot tables and a standard outlet
- Setup and full cleanup always included
- No travel fee anywhere in DuPage or Will County
At a venue
Downtown Naperville · Riverwalk private rooms · Clubs & hotels
Downtown Naperville has more walkable private dining space than any suburb we work in, plus hotels and clubs a short drive out. In practice a group that cannot agree on whose house to use often lands on a private room instead.
We issue certificates of insurance naming your venue at no charge and coordinate load-in with their team. Therefore approval is rarely what holds a booking up.
- Certificates of insurance provided free
- No food service, so no F&B minimum applies
- We work directly with restaurant and venue managers
Booked a venue already?
Send us the address and any vendor requirements. Then we will confirm the load-in and send an itemized quote.
How it runs
How a Naperville perfume bar works
Four stages, about ninety minutes end to end. Nothing needs preparing in advance.
We set up
First, we arrive about an hour before you want to start and style the bar completely. Nobody has to be ready when we get there.
Choose a base
Then each guest picks a base style to build on. Signage suggests combinations, so nobody stares at a blank page.
Blend and test
Next, layer from the scent library, testing on paper and adjusting. Two to four minutes each, and guests can return.
Bottle it
Finally, fill and cap your own bottle and take it home the same day. Afterward we pack out completely.
Every perfume made is an eau de parfum at 50–60% fragrance material to perfumer's alcohol. In other words, it is a genuine concentration rather than a scented water, which is why it is still with you at the end of the evening.
Match it to your room
Naperville perfume bar sizing, by guest count
Headcount changes the right answer more than budget does. So here is how we would scope it.
One station, one host. Everyone gets real time at the bar. For instance, a shower or a milestone birthday at home.
One station, two hosts. The most common Naperville booking, and the size most group-planned parties land on.
Two stations. Because one holds guests while the other moves them, a private room never queues at a single table.
Multi-station, expanded team. Placed across the floor plan with staffing scaled to your run of show.
What should you budget?
Naperville perfume bar bookings start at around $500. From there, pricing scales with guest count, station count, staffing and time on site. Meanwhile custom labels and additional branding are itemized separately, so nothing appears as a surprise on the invoice.
There is no travel fee anywhere in DuPage or Will County. In addition, there are no service fees and no automatic gratuity.

Why Glitters & Grace
A trained perfumer, not a rented table
Cheryl Gleason has been building perfume bars and formulating fragrance for over a decade. She is a trained perfumer and a cosmetic and skincare formulator. Furthermore, every accord and formula we bring to Naperville was composed in her own lab in New Lenox, Illinois.
That matters for practical reasons. For example, a guest will ask what is in the bottle, and our hosts can answer. Someone will mention a sensitivity, and we have full disclosures ready. Finally, the host will ask what happens if everyone arrives at once — and we have already staffed for it.
We work with absolutes, CO2 extracts and essential oils rather than the pre-blended fragrance oils sold for candles and soap. As a result, what your guests make actually wears like a fragrance.
Before you ask
Naperville perfume bar: common questions
How much is a Naperville perfume bar?
From around $500. Pricing scales with guest count, station count, staffing and time on site. Materials, take-home bottles, hosts, styling, setup and cleanup are all included, with no travel fee in DuPage or Will County.
We are splitting the cost between several people. Can you help?
Yes — every quote comes back itemized. Each line is separated out, so it can be forwarded to a group chat and understood without anyone explaining it. Meanwhile anything the group decides against can simply be removed and the quote reissued.
Can you hold a date while we decide?
Usually, yes, and we would rather do that than lose your Saturday to a slow reply. Tell us you are waiting on a group and we will let you know honestly how long we can hold it.
What if our guest count changes?
Tell us and we reissue the quote. Therefore you see the new number before agreeing to it. In practice group-planned parties move by a few guests either way and it is never a problem.
Do you work in downtown Naperville venues?
Yes, regularly. We issue certificates of insurance naming the venue at no charge and coordinate load-in with their team. Furthermore we serve no food or drink, so nothing counts against a restaurant’s minimum.
How much space do you need?
About 12 x 6 feet, two 6-foot tables and a standard outlet. Several stations run without power at all. In addition, we bring our own tables if yours are spoken for.
Does it work if people arrive at different times?
Yes — it runs as an open station rather than a seated activity. Consequently latecomers simply join when they arrive, which matters in a town where half the guest list is coming from a game.
Which areas do you serve nearby?
All of Naperville, plus Lisle, Warrenville, Aurora, Wheatland, Plainfield and Bolingbrook, with no travel fee and identical pricing across DuPage and Will County.
How far in advance should we book?
Six to eight weeks for most Saturdays, and further for spring and December. In practice Naperville books earlier than most towns we serve, so the good dates go first.
What is actually in the perfume?
Absolutes, CO2 extracts and essential oils — the materials of fine fragrance, composed in our own lab. Full ingredient and allergen information is available in advance.
Naperville decides early, and so does our calendar
We take a limited number of events per date. In practice this town books further ahead than most, and spring Saturdays go first. Therefore send us the date as soon as the group agrees, and we will hold it briefly while the details are settled.
