A Fashion Show Birthday Party With a Signature Scent
A fashion show birthday party gives every guest the two things a real model needs: confidence and a signature look. At Glitters & Grace, that look starts with a perfume she blends and a lip color she mixes herself.
Then she takes it to the runway. Our kids experiences are for ages 5 and up, and the theme grows beautifully with her into the tween and teen years.

- Trained perfumer & formulator
- A host at every station
- Ages 5 and up
- Setup & cleanup included
Designing the Collection
Every fashion house starts in the studio. At our party, the "studio" is a set of stations, each run by one of our hosts.
The scent atelier is first. Kids blend their own perfume from kid-friendly scents. Signage suggests blends for designers who would rather not start from scratch. The finished bottle is an eau de parfum (a long-lasting perfume strength) made with perfumer's alcohol.
The color studio comes next. At the Lip Lab, guests mix their own lip gloss, and younger guests use the Kids tier.
Accessories round it out. Add Glitter & Glow for shimmer, a candy cart, or mini-facials led by licensed estheticians (licensed skincare professionals).

Building the Runway Party
A runway party needs, well, a runway. Most families clear a hallway, a basement, or a long stretch of the family room.
Line it with a rug or a strip of fabric, and set the digital photo booth at the end. That way each model finishes her walk with a pose for the camera.
We bring linens and mirrors for the station tables. Families provide tables, or we bring them for a small fee.
Made by a trained perfumer
Every station was designed by our founder, Cheryl Gleason, a trained perfumer and cosmetic and skincare formulator who trained with master perfumer Karen Gilbert, at the Institute for Art and Olfaction, and through courses and workshops around the world. We ask about allergies when you book, and your contract covers allergen disclosures.

Styling a Fashion Party for Girls
A fashion party for girls, or any fashion show party for girls, looks best when the room feels like a show. Customized decor, personalized signage, and florals help set that scene.
You are welcome to style the tables to your theme. Some families pick black and pink, others go with metallics or her favorite color in every shade.
A few easy extras you can add yourself:
- A "backstage" sign on the door to the station room
- Programs listing each model's name and her new scent
- A clothing rack of scarves and sunglasses for runway styling
Show Day at a Fashion Show Birthday Party
Here is how the day usually unfolds.
First, our team arrives one hour early to set up. Then guests arrive and visit the stations, creating their scent and gloss.
After that, the show begins. Turn up the music and let each model walk while friends cheer. Finally, everyone gathers for cake while we clean up and pack out.
The Model Birthday Party, by Age
A model birthday party for a 6-year-old is all twirls and giggles. Short walks, big cheers, and plenty of candy. Little ones often walk the runway two or three times.
Tweens want a more polished show and more time at each station. For ideas, see our tween birthday party ideas.
Teens can step up to a fuller perfume lab with many more fragrance materials, plus custom lip color. That makes this theme a great fit for a Sweet 16, too. Browse our sweet 16 party ideas for more.
Gift Bags That Fit the Theme
The best part of a fashion show birthday party is that the favors make themselves. Each guest goes home with the perfume and lip gloss she created.
You can add a little packaging flair of your own. A small tote, a tissue-paper wrap, or a tag with her scent name all feel like a designer touch.
Bath bombs from the bath station make a sweet extra if you add that station.
Every Fashionista Party Needs a Creative Director
At every fashionista party, someone has the vision. Ours is Cheryl Gleason, our founder, a trained perfumer and cosmetic and skincare formulator.
Her creative direction shapes the stations, the signage, and the overall look of every party. Our hosts bring it to life in your home.
For a different spin on the same idea, see our red carpet party for girls page.
